JOB SUMMARY: The Pre-Press and Digital Manager plans, directs, coordinates and administers Art and Digital Department activities Determines quality level and establishes work procedures for the department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Improve operational systems, processes and policies in support of the organization’s mission – specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning in prepress and digital manufacturing.
  • Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence in digital and prepress areas.
  • Payroll management for supervised departments.
  • Organization of documents within designated areas.
  • Regular meetings with the President and VP of Operations related to fiscal planning.
  • Supervise and coach employees as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty competently.The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Must have at least 3 years of Operational Management, Color Management, and Equipment Finger Printing.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to communicate both in written and verbal formats
  • Ability to present to small to medium size groups
  • Excellent people manager

MATH SKILLS:

  • Basic Math Skills

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Ability to learn proprietary software
  • Above average Microsoft Office Products skills
  • Mechanical and technical aptitude on print equipment, maintenance, and life cycle management

OTHER SKILLS:

  • Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management implementing best practices
  • Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
  • Excels at operating in a fast paced, community environment
  • Open to directions and a collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done

Office and Production Area setting: This position will spend time between both the office and production settings.
